SmarTEC Battery Management System (BMS) is designed to smart monitor and protect lithium batteries. It has been widely used in various applications, providing a “one-stop” solution for Lithium-ion / Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Today, we are excited to introduce a new feature that allows users to modify the parameters of BMS overcharge and over-discharge, etc. through the PC side.
Understanding Overcharge and Over-discharge
Overcharge and over-discharge are two critical parameters in the management of lithium batteries. Overcharging occurs when the voltage of a cell exceeds its upper limit, while overcharging happens when the voltage drops below the lower limit. Both scenarios can lead to reduced battery life, performance issues, and even safety concerns.
The New Functionality
Our latest update to the SmarTEC BMS introduces a feature that allows users to freely modify the parameters of BMS overcharge and over-discharge, etc. through the PC side. This feature provides users with the flexibility to adjust these parameters to suit their specific use cases, enhancing the efficiency and lifespan of their batteries.
How to Use the New Functionality?
To modify the overcharge and over-discharge parameters, follow these steps:
1. Connect your SmarTEC BMS to your PC by Bluetooth.
2. Open the SmarTEC software on your PC.
3. Navigate to the ‘Parameters’ section.
4. Adjust the ‘Overcharge Voltage’ and ‘Overdischarge Voltage’ or other parameters as needed.
5. Click ‘Save’ to apply the changes.
Please note that these steps may vary slightly depending on the exact model of your BMS.
